We keep an updated Amazon wish list for items in which we have a need.

Your donated items provide:

·         Diapers, underwear, pajamas, and daily necessities for our foster children

·         Christmas and birthday gifts

·         Books for new Foster Family Tool Kits

·         Bibles and devotional books for kids

Become a WRAP around a Miracle Hill foster family.

A WRAP family works to meet the needs of the foster family. This may include providing meals, transportation assistance and/or prayer support. Each case is individual and will be determined with the specific family.

There is always a need for more foster families and for the community to support our foster care program.

Materials and staff  will be provided for you to promote our ministry. You can help us recruit and bring awareness:

·         Host a Miracle Hill Foster Care table at your church or organization to bring awareness (November is Orphan Awareness month and May is Foster Care Awareness month).

·         Host a coffee with friends- Fellowship for Foster Care.

Being able to take your family out for a fun date is a special treat. Extracurricular activities can get expensive with multiple children in the home. Foster children deserve some fun times and new experiences too. Will you provide an experience for them?

 

Extracurricular activities such as:

Event tickets for families such as:

·         Museum, zoo, movies, theatre, swim park, bowling

Household items are in great demand in a family.

Put together a gift bag of household items including hygiene and/or cleaning products to bless a foster family.

Details: Pack a Reusable shopping bag with a combination of several of the following items: household cleaner, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes for adults  and kids, hair brush, comb, bar soap, hand soap, baby wipes.

Prepare a meal that has all the ingredients ready to go. These are helpful for hectic nights when parents don’t have a dinner plan.

Having a meal on hand for a busy family is a blessing. We have put together several “Meals in a Bag” recipes to be gathered and put in a Ziploc bag pantry ready for a family to use as needed. Each recipe requires 5-7 shelf ready items to make a complete meal for a family of four (4).

Moving to a new home can be tough.

 

One way we show that kids are special is providing them with a bag full of items the day of their placement in a new family. Each bag contains items such as toiletries, a Bible or Devotional book, blanket, toys, art activities, and much more.

Handmade items are a special gift for a foster child.

 

Create individual fun and soft flannel pillow cases for a foster girl or boy to have as their very own. This special gift has been a big hit with the children.

We all have different haircare needs as well as different experiences with caring for various hair types.

 

·         Would you provide free haircuts for foster children?

·         Would you teach Ethnic Haircare to our families?

·         Would you offer free braiding for our African American foster children?

Our foster families have a special place to go to gather items they need to make their fostering experience a success- The Vine Room.

 

Volunteers are needed to help sort donations, stock shelves with items, neaten the area, organize toys, hang clothing, and assist families.

 

The Vine Room is open Friday mornings for our Miracle Hill Foster Families from 10am-12pm. (Additional dates for “Christmas shopping” will be posted.)

 

Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Ability to bend, lift, move product between containers and work on one’s feet for an entire shift; often standing in a stationary position. Lift and move items such as clothing, baby equipment, bins of clothing,  small furniture, etc.

 

Requirements

Volunteers should be at least 18 years old to serve individually. Volunteers ages 10 and older can serve while accompanied by one chaperone for every three youth. Volunteers must have a volunteer account and sign a volunteer waiver. Parents or guardians of students age 10-15, who do not have a Miracle Hill Volunteer account, will be required to sign a digital Miracle Hill Liability Waiver for the student to volunteer.

Prayer is powerful and we ask that you cover foster care!

Please join us the 3rd Monday of each month for an online meeting to pray over families, staff, case workers and all involved in foster care.  To receive more details about our Ambassadors for Foster Care group prayer time go here.

Provide families with the opportunity to take their child, who is in foster care, to have a special day.  Gift cards for the movies, zoo, Children's Museum, or bowling are super helpful!! We would love to be able to get enough gift cards to supply our 250+ licensed families with the opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy a fun day together.   

Denominations of $15-$100 are best. We would love to have gift card donations dropped of to the admin office at 490 S. Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
