THIS NEED IS SPECIFICALLY FOR VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE ALREADY SIGNED UP IN AN OUTSIDE RETURN TO WORK PROGRAM.
Below is a list of general duties that can assist our thrift staff and managers:
Sales Floor Duties:
· Warmly greet and treat all customers with respect, fostering an exceptional shopping experience.
· Maintain the appearance of the sales floor by cleaning, wiping down shelves, sweeping, dusting, scrape stickers off the floor, straightening racks/shelves, organizing and replenishing the sales floor and fitting rooms as needed.
· Reset the clothing racks on the sales floor.
· Pull clothing (barb color for the week).
· Stock priced items on the sales floor.
Warehouse Duties:
· Provide excellent customer service through receiving donations by warmly greeting and thanking donors for their donations and offering to assist them in unloading their vehicle.
· Help at the donation door to process incoming donations into assigned containers.
· Process items such as clothing, bric brac (home goods), shoes, electronics, and any other items that need to be processed to sell.
· Presort books and media for processing.
· Sort clothing.
· Test electronics for full functionality or power, wrap a rubber band around the power cord, and set aside for staff to price.
· Assist with moving furniture to the sales floor or moving sold furniture off the sales floor.
· Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
· Ability to bend, lift, move product between containers and work on one’s feet for an entire shift; often standing in a stationary position.
· Lift and move items such as clothing, bric brac (home goods), small furniture, etc.
· Manipulate tagging and pricing guns in a repetitive manner.
Miracle Hill Dress Code:
· Volunteers are expected to dress in business casual attire unless the day's tasks require otherwise.
· Volunteers are expected to present a clean, professional appearance; to be well‐groomed and wear clean clothing.
· Volunteers working in the warehouse or outside are required to wear a safety vest, which will be provided.
· Shorts, skirts, and dresses are to be no more than 3 inches above the knee.
· Graphic shirts with faith-based logos or sayings are allowed.
Miracle Hill Dress Code & Store Policy Prohibits the Following:
· Low-cut tops, tank tops, see-through tops.
· Holes in clothing.
· Open-toed or open-heeled shoes.
· Clothing with lewd, profane, political and/or drug & alcohol references.
· Use of profanity while working as a volunteer is prohibited.
· Use of ear buds or headphones while working as a volunteer is prohibited. This is for safety reasons.
Age Requirements:
· You must be at least 18 years old to work as a volunteer in this program.
Other Requirements:
· We require all thrift volunteers to sign a Release of Liability Waiver.
· Return to Work volunteers are required to sign the Miracle Hill Thrift Store Policy Agreement.
