Spartanburg Rescue Mission is an emergency shelter that serves a multitude of people experiencing homelessness, including men, women and mothers with children. Housed in separate wings, individuals receive the basic needs of shelter, food and clothing along with counseling, educational opportunities and discipleship. The hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is woven into every aspect of care. In partnership with local volunteers from the medical and dental fields, a free on-site medical clinic provides services once a month for our guests and individuals from the community.
Wanting to help the hurting and homeless in Spartanburg, the Downtown Rescue Mission became a part of Miracle Hill
Ministries. The shelter is a 102 year old school building that was renovated to accommodate 96 guests. The shelter has
separate dormitories for men and women.
