Summary: On nights when the temperature drops below 40 degrees we open the Cold Weather Shelter to anyone seeking shelter from the cold. Volunteers will help maintain an uplifting environment, engage in conversation with the guests, serve food and coffee, and help the staff with the check-in process.
Specific Tasks:
- Work side-by-side with guests to help watch over the people staying in the Cold Weather Shelter.
- Help staff with the check-in process and check bags brought into the Cold Weather Shelter.
- Encourage the guests.
- Direct people to shower and dining area.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be a woman to volunteer at the Women's Shelter.
- Must be a man to volunteer at the Men's Shelter.
