THIS NEED IS SPECIFICALLY FOR VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE ALREADY SIGNED UP AND WORKING THROUGH THE GOODWILL SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SCSEP)
Below is a list of general duties that can assist our thrift staff and managers:
- Warmly greet and treat all customers with respect, fostering an exceptional shopping experience.
- Maintain appearance of the store by cleaning, organizing and replenishing the sales floor as needed.
- Attend fitting rooms by monitoring the number of clothing items customers take into the fitting room, keeping the fitting rooms clean and organized, and returning unwanted clothing items to the go-back station.
- Re-stock items on the sales floor.
- Tidy areas of the sales floor to include wiping down shelves, straightening racks/shelves, sweeping, dusting, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service through the receiving of donations.
- Presort goods into assigned containers.
- Process clothing by sorting, tagging, hanging clothes on racks and/or running racks to the sales floor.
- Process items such as home goods (bric brac), shoes, electronics, books, media, and any other products that need to be processed to sell.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties such as sweeping, cleaning, and dusting.

- Ability to bend, lift, move product between containers and work on one’s feet for your shift; often standing in a stationary position.
- Lift and move items such as clothing, home goods (bric brac), small furniture, etc.
- Manipulate tagging and pricing guns in a repetitive manner.
Age Requirements:
- You must be 55 years and older to participate in this program.
Other Requirements:
- We require all thrift volunteers to sign a liability waiver.
- SCSEP Volunteers are required to sign Miracle Hill's Thrift Store Policy Agreement.
