Miracle Hill is providing families in the Upstate of South Carolina with a curriculum called Backyard Missions. The curriculum includes Homeless Education, Virtual Field Trips, Devotions from the Bible, and Guided Homeless Experiences. After working through those elements we encourage families to serve those experiencing homelessness by selecting a volunteer opportunity (or two or three!) to do as a family.
Take a moment to read through these opportunities to see which ones will work best for you.
Use these as a starting point to move towards a hands-on approach to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39). Be creative with modifying or making additions to one of these needs based on your family or group's abilities.
Most of the Backyard Missions Opportunities are done at your leisure and independent of Miracle Hill's oversight (except for volunteering at a thrift store).
